ഒമ്പതാമത് ദേശീയ കായികദിനാഘോഷത്തിനായി ഖത്തര്‍ ഒരുങ്ങി. ഇതിന്‍റെ ഭാഗമായി വിവിധ മന്ത്രാലയങ്ങളും കമ്പനികളും കൂട്ടായ്മകളും പ്രവാസി സംഘടനകളും വിവിധ കായിക പരിപാടികൾ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കും .

അമീരി ദിവാനിയും പബ്ലിക് പ്രോസിക്യൂഷന്‍ മന്ത്രാലയവും ചേര്‍ന്ന് ഖത്തര്‍ സ്പോര്‍ട്സ് ക്ലബിലും ഖത്തര്‍ ഒളിമ്പിക് കമ്മിറ്റിQATA ബറാഹ മുഷൈരിബിലും സാമൂഹ്യക്ഷേമകാര്യമന്ത്രാലയം പേള്‍ ഖത്തറില്‍ വെച്ചും ആഘോഷപരിപാടികള്‍ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ സാംസ്കാരിക കായിക മന്ത്രാലയം ഗതാഗത മന്ത്രാലയം പൊതുമരാമത്ത് മന്ത്രാലയം തുടങ്ങി വിവിധ മന്ത്രാലയങ്ങളുടെയും ഖത്തര്‍ റെയില്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള വിവിധ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളുടെയും ആഘോഷ പരിപാടികള്‍ അല്‍ബിദ പാര്‍ക്കില്‍ വെച്ചാണ് നടക്കുക. ഇതോടെ ദേശീയ കായിക ദിനാഘോഷങ്ങളുടെ പ്രധാനകേന്ദ്രമായി അല്‍ബിദ പാര്‍ക്ക് മാറും.
ഖത്തര്‍ ന്യൂസ് ഏജന്‍സി ഖത്തര്‍ സ്പോര്‍സ്സ് ക്ലബില്‍ വെച്ചും ഇന്ത്യന്‍ എംബസിക്ക് കീഴിലുള്ള ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സ്പോര്‍സ് സെന്‍റര്‍ നടത്തുന്ന കായിക ദിന മത്സരങ്ങള്‍ അല്‍ അറബി സ്പോര്‍സ് ക്ലബില്‍ വെച്ചുമാണ് കായിക ദിന മത്സരങ്ങളും ആഘോഷങ്ങളും സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുക. ഖത്തറിലെ അമ്പതോളം വരുന്ന ഹോട്ടലുകളും റസ്റ്റോറന്‍റുകളും കായിക ദിനത്തിന്‍റെ ഭാഗമായി പ്രത്യേക ഓഫറുകളും പാക്കേജുകളും പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇത്രയും ഹോട്ടലുകളിലെ ജിംനേഷ്യം, ഫിറ്റ്നെസ് സെന്‍ററുകള്‍, സ്പാ, റസ്റ്റോറന്‍റുകള്‍ എന്നിവകളില്‍ പത്ത് മുതല്‍ പന്ത്രണ്ട് വരെയുള്ള മൂന്ന് ദിനങ്ങളില്‍ പ്രത്യേക നിരക്കിളവുകളാണ് നല്‍കുന്നത്.

What is Qatar National Sports Day?
Qatar National Sports Day is celebrated every second Tuesday of February. The first National Sports Day was held in 2012 and was designated for sporting endeavors by the citizens of Qatar. The day’s main purpose is to promote sports and to educate the local population on ways to reduce health risks associated with an inactive lifestyle, such as coronary heart disease and diabetes. The day is also viewed as an opportunity to bring communities closer together through sport, based on the sporting principles of team building, inclusion and unity, participation, fitness and health. Along with the extensive sporting events across the country, National Sports Day also focuses on Qatari culture with traditional Al Shawahef rowing championships, acting as a reminder of Qatar’s ancient sporting heritage and the role it has played in the country’s most recent developments.
